Someone Has Got To Pay is the first mission in the TimeSplitters 2 arcade league challenge section Outnumbered But Never Outpunned!

Briefing[]

Big Tony's been having some discrete hair transplant work done down at the Hospital. But in an anesthetic-induced daze he thinks that some giant ducks are after his new thatch to feather their nests! Help him out by whacking dem malicious mallards.

Strategy[]

This is a medium-difficulty mission. It's everyone on you, and the only weapons are the Shotgun and Shotgun x2. Get the double shotgun (there's one on one of the balcony), and either wait on that balcony, go to the skinny one that would have the Max Damage Powerup, or go into the room inside the room with the showers with the Shrink Powerup, and just wait for the AI Bots to come in. Make sure you also pick up the ammo.

  • Alternative place to wait for the ducks, in the small corridor which the toilet cubicles come off. There is a handy double Shotgun in the last cubicle. Wait by this cubicle & most of the ducks will come in at the far end. When they come in pump the fire button 4 times to get all 4 shots. Run forward when possible to pick up the guns the ducks drop, set Weapon Change to Best so it will reselect when you replenish ammo, sidestepping will reduce the amount of hits you take. This strategy will give platinum but if that's what you're going for then consider how good your start point is at the start of the game, if you're not near where you want to be it might be worth restarting as many times as necessary until you start where you want to be.

Trivia[]

  • Though this league match is a Team Deathmatch, it is not the same as a normal Team Deathmatch. Neither side is assigned a team, and the ducks don't have a kill count. The player's score is in "ducks", and all of the bots are on the same team.
