In order to exploit this glitch, you must have Flare Gun x2. This may also work with a single gun. There is a ammo intensive way to attain rapidfire with this weapon. By alternating rapidly between single and dual flare, by pressing up on the D-Pad, you can achieve a high rate of fire while avoiding long reload times as each time you change mode it automatically reloads the weapon. Be warned though, as this can rapidly deplete the limited ammo for this weapon.
